  2. What a wonderful post, my son is a carer in a home for the adult autistic and though the pay is not too good finds it very rewarding, he himself had cancer 4 years ago so feels he is giving something back to the world.
A most worthy and important subjectg to write about,
    Good luck with the challenge.

  3. My friend's son has autism. I don't know him myself, but I've listened to his story and his achievements from her POV - she's so proud of him, and with good reason!

  8. I once babysat a girl with autism. She was a great challenge, but somehow I was the one person she sometimes connected with. It went so far that her parents began to dislike me because of that.

I love how you use your first A to Z post for such a wonderful cause.

Am an AtoZ'er, breezing in to say hi!

  11. My nephew is a successful college student (forestry) and just passed with flying colors all sorts of zoology, botany, etc. classes. He was identified with autism at 2 yrs. old, and it was expected to be institutionalized. But my tenacious sister fought for him, and reached into him.
Autism is all around us. Some of us knew what it was; most thought that the person was just crazy.
Thank you for opening your heart for us.

  17. This is a GREAT cause. My cousin has three children and all three have autism--two are very severe.

The parents of autistic children carry such an important load. They can truly make a difference as I'm sure you do. Keep up the hard work.

    BTW--have you seen "Temple Grandin?"
