I Think I Have a Bowl Problem

Yepper Depper!!

You read that right!

I have a BOWL problem!

I'm not sure exactly when it started, probably looking up at that huge yellow Pyrex bowl my mother made chocolate chip cookies in, but regardless, I love bowls.

I have this old set that was my Grandma's,
(yep, that's identical to the yellow bowl my mom used, but my brother has already claimed the original)

And then there are my OTHER Grandma's mixing bowls.
She bought these to impress her aunt, who was about to visit from far away.
I guess having great mixing bowls was a sign of being a good mother and wife back then.

Then there are all those miscellaneous bowls I just couldn't live without, you know the ones.
Some from family, some from yard sales and auctions and others
that just found their way to the shelf in my hutch.

And then I had to start my own collection, the bowls I could actually use on a daily basis.
Oh, and I love those little square Pyrex containers too.
And Fiesta dishes.

And size really doesn't matter.
I have large cup type bowls, cereal bowls, individual sauce bowls, nut bowls, chip bowls,
bowls, bowls, and more bowls.

Although I must admit that I like the antiques the best.

So what does this say about me?
Do you have something you just can't live without?
Is there something that draws you in and won't let go?
I'd like to hear about it.

  1. Oooh, I love your bowls. We don't have bowl problems over here--they keep vanishing. *Sigh...
    I gave you an award!
