Isadora

Today's post is sponsored by the letter

I've never been one to give names to computers or electronic devices, but when I recently bought a new mini laptop, I was encouraged by a friend to give it a name.  After much thought, a name popped into my head and it seemed to fit.

ISADORA

It means "gift of Isis"
Isis was an ancient Egyptian goddess who was worshiped as the ideal mother and wife as well as the matron of nature and magic. She was the friend of slaves, sinners, artisans, and the downtrodden, and she listened to the prayers of the wealthy, maidens, aristocrats, and rulers. Isis is the goddess of motherhood, magic and fertility.

Pretty cool, eh?
So a gift from the goddess, Isis, would suit me just fine.

Here's what she looks like.

And of course I couldn't let her be naked, so I bought her a skin.

Isn't she pretty?

Do you name your computers and electronic devices?
Why or why not?

  2. I don't have names for my technology. Although, occasionally I call them stupid. I should stop doing that. It will give them a bad self-image.
