Different Emotions

The first time I saw this picture I thought,

"Holy Crap! Don't Fall!"

But then I looked closer and wondered what drew him to the edge. Was he sad? Desperate? Suicidal? Stupid? Adventurous? It's interesting to wonder how many different emotions one can see in the same picture. What might be beautiful to one person, could bring fear to another, especially if you're afraid of heights.

So, I'm curious. What do you see in this picture? What's the story here? What brought him to where he is now? And, how does it make you feel?

  3. Curiousity and excitement...followed by, "Man, I so feel that ledge right now" (fear) - yep, a kelidoscope of feelings!

  4. The motherly instinct comes out in me and I want to yank him back from the edge and yell at him for not obeying me and getting too close the edge. But your thoughts work, too.

  5. He's a dreamer, who loves to see the beauty of the world. Maybe he even wants to learn how to fly, which would be completely different from falling.

Clearly I'm not afraid of heights. Beautiful picture. Thanks for sharing.

  6. I hate heights so I feel anxious. Although the scenery is breathtaking. I love standing on top of a mountain, but the one I stand on I can't fall off of unless I really work at it. Which I wouldn't.

  7. I felt like my stomach did a sommersault, but looking closer at the picture, I think he's just enjoying the view. It's the guy sneaking up behind him I'm worried about.

  8. I think he's having a sort of I Am moment; taking in the majesty of God through His creation, drinking it in.
    Awesome pic!

  10. He looks sad to me. The environment is incredible but in his face...it almost looks like he can't see it. But maybe this is an ink-blot kind of moment. I love that ali and zombie girrl saw life and being alive, though. I love that idea.
